Open for Comments

For a number of complex reasons, the most important of which being “I feel like it,” I am opening up comments on my posts after a two-year self-absorbed imposition of silence. We’ll see how this goes. I will do my best to interact, and don’t take it personally if I don’t. Do take it personally, however, if you post a rude, irrelevant, obnoxious comment and I remove it with much fanfare.

All kidding aside, we are engaging issues of ultimate meaning and purpose. Hearing from each other seems like a good idea.

I’m glad to hear that you’re doing this. I can understand why you would have shut the comments down for a while, but I find the interaction to be the best part of blogging. I’ll look forward to following the conversations here.

I just want to take a moment and thank you for the scholarship you have done in the area of Genesis and literal interpretations of scripture.

I’m a former atheist (of well over 20 years) who recently converted to Christianity. I have to credit my wife and some good, logical, reasoning and intelligent, friends for presenting me with the evidence that compelled me to change my beliefs. Since my conversion I have to credit the work that folks like you, BioLogos and the Internet Monk (internetmonk.com) are doing for helping calm my mind of some of my more plaguing questions and doubts.

Don’t know if I’m first or not but just in case, let me be the first to say “Thanks.” I promise any future comments will be more intelligent discourse and less fanboy. =)

Oh my… this will be interesting.

Thanks so much for you posts. They have always been interesting to read.

Pete, I am glad to see that you are taking questions now. While you are at it now, could you please provide me with some directions? I am at the intersection of I-75 and Campbell Road and need to get to Frankford and Coit. I will wait here for a response.

I didn’t know the ban was there in the first place. I’m glad you’re doing it, although I suspect answering the same, old, worn-out questions ostensibly challenging evolution can grow tiresome pretty fast. :)

So glad to hear it. I need to read up on what you’ve been putting out there.

Pete, I’m glad things are such that you feel like it. There are many of us that are thankful for you and your work; I hope this will be an encouraging change for you.

Thanks for all your comments, folks. I’m looking forward to having a good time with this.

Watching Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” at the moment. Haven’t seen it in years.
