How Are Relationships Transformed?

Over at GospelFutures, Neil Williams (author of The Maleness of Jesus: Is it Good news for Women) is three posts into a series that explores how relationships are transformed (the first post is here). Williams is exploring not only the relationships we have with others, but with our environment, and with ourselves.

Part of Williams’s angle is to ask whether Christianity has the resources to aid in these relational transformations, particularly given the church’s checkered history and also developments in psychology, philosophy, and science that view human personality in ways that differ from the biblical paradigm.

To put an even finer point on it, Williams asks whether the traditional understanding of “sin” as an individual property is better understood in relational terms.

These posts are both readable and thoughtful. Hope you enjoy them.
